Playing - Using Hardware Buttons

If you do not want to use the Stylus, you can use the Hardware Buttons to record the Strokes. You can identify the Box that will receive the input from the Buttons by the red color in which the Boxes Frame is Painted. The Hardware Buttons have the following functions:

Left

Moves the Cursor one Box to the Left. At the beginning of a Line, the Cursor is moved at the end of the Line above. You can identify the Position of the Cursor by the red Frame around the Box.

Right

Moves the Cursor one Box to the Right. At the end of a Line, the Cursor is moved at the beginning of the Line below. You can identify the Position of the Cursor by the red Frame around the Box.

Up

Adds one Stroke to the box on which the Cursor stands for Strokes and Putts and toggles the Check for Fairway Hit and Green in Regulation

Down

Lowers the value of the box on which the Cursor stands by one Stroke for Strokes and Putts and toggles the Check for Fairway Hit and Green in Regulation. In case you lower a Value of 1 Stroke, the Value becomes an X.

Start

This button is usually pressing the center Part of the Hardware Buttons and advances to the next hole

A/B

Press on these Buttons to change which Standing of the Game you want to see

C Press on this Button to turn the Display of your Pocket PC off. To turn the Display back on, press the Button again. This is very useful to save Battery Power.

The layout of the Hardware Buttons is different on each Pocket PC Model and depends on the OEM Manufacturer. In the Preferences you can see the Hardware Buttons Positions related to the Screen.

You can turn this functionality off, for example if you hit the Buttons accidentally when taking the Pocket PC out of your Pocket, in the Settings.
